Almost there ……

Hello Good People

Well, almost there. Monday, 30th November being the day of the ‘official’ launching of the book. Mind you, I won’t see a first royalty cheque (that’s if any copies are sold!) until mid-August of 2016. I should live so long!!

It’s A ‘PROM’ Double!

Hello Good People

This morning there was a feature on the TV news. I was otherwise engaged, so was barely engaged with either the images or commentary. The item appeared a few times in the course of the day. Then, on one such occasion, the penny dropped as to what it was all about: the first declared successful FULL face transplant. Later, when I was out, I bought some newspapers and, there within, details and pictures of the said event.

Guess what?

The same story – in a fictional context – is in ‘PROMETHEUS ASCENDING’. However, in my book it is just a ruse, to hide the truth of what the ‘Carvel Experiment’ is actually to be; the transplanting of a living human brain. In speaking the ruse, Carvel explains, in visual terms, the difference between a face transplant and a FULL face transplant. The former is demonstrated, by Carvel, when he holds a Greek mask of Drama on a stick held up to his face. In the latter, by pulling a balaclava over his head, suggesting to the onlookers that the balaclava represents the flesh (and hair) that covers the entire skull.

I actually included this in the segment titled ‘Frankenstein re-visited’, which I wrote some two years ago. Yesterday’s fiction, today’s fact. Get in there!

On my marks, get set ……..

Hello Good People

Well, 30th November gets closer, and I’m ready for the off. I think I’ve done all I can, so now it’s just a case of marking time. Oh, to be an author – published!

Cheers,

‘Who’s a pretty boy, then?’

Hello Good People

Come Monday, I’m off to put my fizzhog before a camera. That’s to say, get a couple of photographs taken for the publishing company. For ‘promotional’ purposes, as I understand it. I tried to get a stand-in, but Brad Pitt was otherwise engaged. DOH!

And then, onwards and upwards towards November 30th and the book launch. I wonder if The Bible had a launch date? Maybe not.

Cheers,

PT J

KISS OFF!

Hello Good People

This morning, I signed the ‘Proof Certificate’ for my book. That’s it: out and over. The MS no longer in my hands and within days will be heading off to the printers- to be published on 30th November. Weird feeling. Watch this space!
